Overview
The QS Horizontal Split Case pump is a single-stage double-suction centrifugal pump designed for transporting pure water or liquids with similar physical and chemical properties to water. It can handle liquids with temperatures up to 80°C and is ideal for water supply and drainage in factories, mines, cities, power stations, and agricultural irrigation systems. Pump Structure
Diesel Agricultural Pressure Large Diameter Centrifugal Irrigation Pump
1. Casing for Centrifugal horizontal large flow pump farming irrigation equipment
The volute casing is split on the horizontal centerline with the suction and discharge nozzles cast integral with the pump casing. The upper casing is accurately located using dowel pins, allowing easy access for inspection without disturbing pipe connections or alignment. Suction and discharge flanges include tapped holes for vacuum and pressure gauges, and drainage plugs at the bottom.
2. Impeller
The impeller is statically balanced and fixed with muff and muff nuts on both sides. Axial position can be adjusted via the nuts, and axial force is balanced by the symmetrical blade arrangement. Any residual axial force is handled by the bearing at the axle end.
3. Shaft
The pump shaft is supported by two single-row radial ball bearings mounted inside the bearing housing. Lubricated with grease, the dual-suction seal ring helps reduce leakage at the impeller.
4. Seal Type
Available options include gland seal and mechanical seal.


Direction
The horizontal large volume double suction axially split casing centrifugal pump rotates clockwise when viewed from the clutch. Counter-clockwise rotation is also available upon request.


Materials
The irrigation pump is typically made of cast iron, including the pump casing, cover, impeller, seal ring, and shaft sleeve. The shaft is made of carbon steel. Custom materials like nodular cast iron, cast steel, bronze, and stainless steel are also available upon request.

RFQ:
Only a portion of the mechanical power from the driver equipment is converted into centrifugal power and delivered to the liquid. The rest is lost due to several factors:
1. Hydraulic Loss: Caused by fluid impact, vortices, and friction within the pump. These losses occur due to changes in flow direction and surface friction along the passage.
2. Volume Loss: Resulting from leakage through seals and glands. Typical pump efficiency ranges between 0.93 and 0.98. Improving sealing mechanisms can reduce this loss and increase efficiency.
3. Mechanical Loss: Caused by friction between the liquid and the impeller, as well as between the rotating parts and bearings. This is known as impeller disk friction loss.
