What are the connection methods of detonating cords?

The detonating cord coupling method has a lap method, a sailor knot method, and a T-shaped knot method (see Fig. 1). Because the splicing method is the simplest, it is widely used. The length of the knot is generally 10 to 20 cm, not less than 10 cm, and the overlapping portion is bound with a tape. The sailor's knot is firmer and is used for the connection between the detonating cords in the blasthole. In a complex network, in the case of a large number of detonating cord joints, in order to prevent the direction of the detonation, a triangular joint can be used, as shown in FIG. 2 .

The connection between the detonating cord and the drug pack is shown in Figure 3. The connection between the detonating cord and the detonator is relatively simple, and the detonator can be directly bundled on the detonating end of the detonating cord. Note that the detonator gathering end is consistent with the detonating direction.
