American futuristic catamaran debut in New York, shaped like a spider

China Daily Online Global News: A fascinating new "visitor" has arrived in New York Harbor. This unusual vessel looks like a giant spider crawling across the water, almost as if it stepped out of a sci-fi movie. However, this is actually a revolutionary new type of assembled catamaran developed by the U.S. Navy's Advanced Research Corporation. Known as the "Poseidon," it’s not just visually striking—it’s also highly functional and versatile, earning it the nickname "the universal ship." According to reports from U.S. media on September 6, the "Poseidon" resembles a spider with long floats on each side and pointed ends. These floats are connected by two sets of arched brackets, with a high cockpit in the center and a passenger cabin behind it. All these parts are suspended above the water, never touching the sea during travel or mooring. Even though the U.S. Coast Guard had been warned about the strange "ship," they still sent a small patrol boat to investigate when it approached New York. The "Poseidon" is a prototype of the Wave Adaptive Modular Vessels (WAM-V). Its unique design allows it to adapt to wave movements, meaning its hull can follow the ocean's motion rather than fighting against it. The titanium alloy springs in the brackets help absorb vibrations caused by waves, making the ride smoother even in rough weather. Passengers won’t feel tossed around like traditional boats. Additionally, because the Poseidon has minimal underwater components and a shallow draft, it can easily navigate through shallow waters. Another key feature of the "Poseidon" is its modular design. Every part—floats, brackets, cockpit, and cabin—is easy to transport, store, and assemble. It only takes one hour to put together a 31-meter-long, 16-meter-wide "Sea Spider." This modularity means that any component can be replaced based on need. For example, a propeller can be swapped for a jet engine, and gasoline engines can be converted to diesel. There are currently three configurations for the passenger cabin, offering 2, 6, or 12 seats. When there are many passengers, the cabin can be raised to the surface for more space. Despite its lightweight construction, the Poseidon is capable of crossing oceans. With just 2,000 gallons of fuel, it can travel up to 8,000 kilometers at a top speed of 55.5 km/h. This futuristic vessel offers long range, low fuel consumption, low cost, ease of use, and minimal environmental impact. As a result, it holds great potential for military operations, civilian use, marine rescue missions, and scientific research.

CB-2340 Silicone Slip Enhancer

CB-2340 Slip-improving and wear-resistant agent is a modified polysiloxane copolymer, which has excellent slip-increasing, wear-resistant, and scratch-resistant effects, and is better than Wax Powder. In gravure inks and gravure matte oils, it can significantly reduce the friction coefficient, increase the smoothness of the coating surface, and improve scratch resistance and tape peeling resistance. 2340 has good compatibility with various resins and good solubility in most solvents.
