Anhui to prove a worth more than 600 billion giant molybdenum mine

The reporter learned from the review meeting organized by the Mineral Resources Reserve Evaluation Center of Anhui Province on July 21st that the Bureau of Geology and Mineral Exploration of Anhui Province has identified a world-class giant molybdenum deposit in Shapinggou, Jinzhai County. The total molybdenum reserves have reached 220. More than 10,000 tons, the potential economic value exceeds 600 billion yuan.

According to experts at the meeting, after three years of hard work, relevant survey work on the Shapinggou molybdenum mine has been completed. The Shapinggou Orebody has been proven to be 1,000 meters long from east to west and 900 meters wide from north to south, with a maximum single hole thickness of 945 meters. The total ore deposits are estimated to be 1.275 billion tons (332 + 333) ore, and finally 2.2 million tons of molybdenum metal can be submitted with an average grade of 0.157%. The potential economic value of the deposit is estimated to be over 600 billion yuan. At the same time, the Shapinggou molybdenum deposit is characterized by large scale, rich grade, concentrated ore body, and high economic value. It is still rare in the known porphyry molybdenum deposits in China.

Wu Yulong, director of the Bureau of Geology and Mineral Exploration of Anhui Province, said that the mine is currently the largest molybdenum mine in China with the largest total reserves. It ranks second in the world and completely eliminated the history of large-scale metal mines in the Dabie Mountains of Anhui Province, further confirming the Qinling Mountains - The Dabie orogenic belt is the most important gold and molybdenum polymetallic metallogenic belt in China and has important theoretical and practical significance for promoting geological prospecting in the eastern part of the Dabie Mountains.

“According to the construction of mines with a processing capacity of 10 million tons of ore per year, the Shapinggou molybdenum mine can be mined for more than 100 years. The annual primary product value can reach more than 4 billion yuan.” Wu Yulong said that the discovery of the molybdenum mine will greatly promote the local The economic development has driven the old revolutionary district of Jinzhai County to upgrade to new industrial cities, fundamentally changing the appearance of old districts.

It is understood that molybdenum is an important non-renewable strategic resource. In addition to a large number of applications in the metallurgical industry, it is widely used in many fields such as chemical engineering, machinery, aerospace, electric light sources, and lubricants. At present, the world's largest molybdenum mine is the Colorado Clemmax molybdenum mine in the United States, with more than 3 million tons of reserves. Previously, China's largest molybdenum deposit is located in Luanchuan, Henan Province, with a reserve of approximately 2.06 million tons.

Caustic Calcined Magnesite

Caustic calcined magnesite (CCM) is also known as magnesia, bitter earth powder, Caustic calcined magnesite , and its main component is mainly Magnesium Oxide. The natural magnesite ore is used as the main raw material, and calcined at a temperature of 750-1100 is called "light burn". The product is called caustic calcined magnesite. Since the reduction of magnesite is generally about 50%, it is lightly burned in ore. The MgO content can be almost doubled. In this sense, caustic calcined is a very effective means of MgO enrichment. Magnesium oxide has a chemical formula of MgO and is insoluble in ethanol. The relative density (d254) is 3.58. Melting point 2852 ° C. The boiling point is 3600 °C. Odorless, odorless, non-toxic white amorphous powder, insoluble in water, insoluble in alcohol, soluble in acid or ammonium salt solution, the solubility in water increases with the increase of carbon dioxide content in water.
