On July 22, 2008, the Guizhou Provincial Department of National Defense Industry and Engineering, acting on behalf of the Guizhou Provincial Development and Reform Commission, organized a team of experts to visit Guizhou Southwestern Tools (Group) Co., Ltd. The purpose of the visit was to conduct the final acceptance for the demonstration project titled "Scroll Compressor Crankshaft and Sliding Bearing Components Industrialization," which was initiated in 2006 as part of the high-tech industrialization initiative. The evaluation team commended the project, highlighting its successful role as a model for technological advancement and its positive economic and social impacts.
Since the project's implementation, Xigong Group has made significant progress in innovation and manufacturing. The company has filed a total of 13 patents, including four invention patents and nine utility model patents. These achievements reflect the company’s strong R&D capabilities and commitment to technological improvement. Key breakthroughs were achieved in the overall processing technology of scroll compressors, crankshaft machining, and eccentric sleeve manufacturing. Additionally, the company developed advanced tooling equipment, such as deep-hole machining systems and specialized fixtures for eccentric outer diameters.
With these advancements, the project now supports an annual production capacity of 1.8 million scroll compressor crankshafts and sliding bearing components. In 2007 alone, the project generated impressive results, with sales revenue reaching 37.82 million yuan, a combined profit and tax amounting to 4.53 million yuan, and an export value of 800,000 US dollars. These figures underscore the project's success in both domestic and international markets, reinforcing its significance in promoting high-tech industrial development in the region.
