Autodesk Announces New Ways to Connect to Autodesk Construction Cloud>
SAN RAFAEL, Calif., May 27, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) today announced some groundbreaking advancements in its Autodesk Construction Cloud suite. With the launch of a new integration platform called Autodesk Construction Cloud Connect (ACC Connect) and an expanded partner network, Autodesk is making it easier than ever for construction teams to connect their workflows and boost efficiency.
One of the highlights is ACC Connect, which builds on the functionality of PlanGrid Connect. This intuitive platform allows users to set up custom integrations without needing to write code. By leveraging Workato's automation capabilities, ACC Connect supports seamless integration with popular applications like Box, Smartsheet, DocuSign, and QuickBooks Online. It simplifies the process of transferring data between Autodesk Construction Cloud products and third-party tools, saving construction firms time and reducing the risk of manual errors.
In addition to ACC Connect, Autodesk introduced several new APIs that enable two-way custom integrations with BIM 360 and PlanGrid. These APIs empower users to manage permissions dynamically, ensuring that collaborators only have access to the specific project information they need. The Cost Management API opens up possibilities for connecting with specialized accounting systems, while PlanGrid's new Advanced RFI, Submittals, and Custom Forms APIs help maintain consistency across all integrated applications.
Autodesk Construction Cloud now boasts over 140 direct integrations, thanks to the addition of 15 new native integrations. Some notable examples include connections with Agile Handover, Contecht, Matterport, MSuite, Plannerly, Reconstruct, Shedmate, and SignNow for BIM 360 users, as well as DataStreet, Extracker, FACS, ProjectMates, and Zters for PlanGrid users. Both platforms now also integrate with Allegion Overtur and StructionSite.
Blaine Crawford, IT Director at C.W. Driver, shared his experience: "Transferring data between applications used by different stakeholders can be a headache. With ACC Connect, we've been able to streamline our data flow and focus more on core project tasks."
Britton Langdon, President of MSUITE, highlighted the growing trend of model-driven collaboration in construction: "Autodesk's integration capabilities give us a unique edge in providing our customers with comprehensive access to their design data throughout the entire construction process."
Angi Izzi, Director of Partnerships for Autodesk Construction Solutions, emphasized the importance of breaking down data silos: "When applications can't communicate, productivity suffers. Expanding our integration options reflects our commitment to improving construction efficiency and fostering deeper collaboration within the industry."
