CFD Engine 109’s new house construction update>
This past week, Dan McInerney paid a visit to the construction site of Engine 109's brand-new firehouse, capturing some impressive visuals that showcase the incredible progress being made. Here's a detailed look at what he documented.
The first image provides a great view of the north side of the station, highlighting the front entrance and the apparatus bays. Inside these bays, all the interior work has been completed, with piping, electrical drops, and the Plymovent system all installed and ready for action. As you can see from the caption, this photo was taken by Dan McInerney himself.
Another shot offers a perspective of the rear of the apparatus bays along with the hose tower. This image gives a clear idea of the structural integrity and design elements that are coming together beautifully. Again, it’s another testament to Dan’s keen eye for detail.
Moving on, there’s an image focusing on the north side of the station where the parking lot is currently under construction using concrete pavers. It’s fascinating to observe how such intricate work is shaping up, providing not only functionality but also aesthetic appeal. Dan was kind enough to snap a close-up of this process as well, offering viewers a more detailed glimpse into the craftsmanship involved.
Additionally, we get a sneak peek at the front entrance area, which promises to feature plenty of glass, adding both elegance and functionality to the design. This particular aspect highlights the modern approach taken in constructing this new firehouse.
For those interested in climbing heights, a picture of the stairwell located on the backside of the hose tower is particularly intriguing. It shows the intricate architecture and planning that goes into ensuring safety and accessibility within the facility.
Lastly, previous updates featuring photos and insights about the ongoing construction of this state-of-the-art fire station can be revisited [here], [here], and [here]. Each post builds upon the last, creating a comprehensive narrative of how this project has evolved over time.
As someone who appreciates community infrastructure development, I’m truly excited to see how Engine 109’s new home will serve its purpose while standing as a symbol of progress and innovation. Stay tuned for further updates as this project nears completion!
