The 10,000-ton-per-year phosphoric acid project of Hubei Xiangfan Yonghe Phosphoric Acid Technology Co., Ltd. has been officially included in the National Science and Technology Support Program. As a result, the company will receive a total of 2 million yuan in state financial support over the next three years. This funding aims to promote the development and application of advanced phosphoric acid production technologies. This year, Hubei Province has successfully secured three phosphoric acid projects under the National Science and Technology Support Program, with a combined total of 10 million yuan in financial support. In addition to Hubei Xiangfan Yonghe's project, the other two include the hydrolyzed phosphoric acid purification project by Hubei Xiangyun Chemical Co., Ltd. located in Wuxue City, Hubei Province. The kiln-process phosphoric acid technology represents an innovative approach to producing phosphoric acid using a rotary kiln. Unlike traditional methods that rely on sulfuric acid and high energy consumption, this process allows for the direct production of phosphoric acid from low-grade phosphate rock, silica, and carbon-based reducing agents, significantly reducing the need for external energy inputs and harmful chemicals. This advancement not only improves efficiency but also supports more sustainable and environmentally friendly industrial practices. The technology is expected to play a key role in the future of phosphoric acid manufacturing in China.
