Remote Fails, But Door Button Works

If your key fob no longer unlocks your Scion xB, but the manual button on the door works fine, the issue is likely a dead battery in the fob. Replacing the battery is straightforward. First, gently pry open your key fob by squeezing its sides until it separates. Remove the old battery, purchase a replacement (available at most hardware or grocery stores), and insert the new one. Your key fob should be operational again in no time!

Single Door Malfunctioning

When only one door fails to lock or unlock, the problem is often a faulty actuator motor. These motors control the locking mechanism and typically wear out over time. Replacing the motor is a manageable task. Here’s how you can do it:
