Chicago 4-11 Alarm Fire 12-29-12 (pt 6)

On May 26, 2007, the same building experienced a 2-11 alarm fire during a rainy Saturday afternoon. I’m sharing these photos to provide context and show the building in its original state before the recent incident. The fire on that day seemed to start in the rear section of the building, which is visible in the first photo. A witness I spoke with today mentioned that today’s fire also appeared to originate from the same back area. The second image was taken from the railroad bridge looking east, offering a full view of the structure. The third photo was captured from Western Avenue, looking west.
