The Henan Provincial Department of Science and Technology recently invited a team of experts to visit Pinggao Group for an on-site inspection and demonstration of the "Development and Industrialization of UHV Closed Electrical Products." This project is among the first batch of key technological initiatives under the province's high-tech power transmission and transformation equipment program during the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan." During the visit, Han Hailin, Chairman of Pinggao Group, provided an overview of the company's development strategy and overall progress. Zhao Hongfei, Executive Deputy Director of the Technology Center, presented the implementation plan for the UHV closed electrical products project, highlighting its strategic importance and technical challenges. The expert panel conducted a thorough review of the project’s data, listened to detailed reports, and evaluated the basis and supporting conditions for the project's execution. They engaged in in-depth discussions on various technical aspects and ultimately endorsed the company's proposal to develop and industrialize UHV closed electrical products. The project aligns with national policies emphasizing the revitalization of high-voltage key equipment and technology, as well as the long-term economic and scientific development plans of Henan Province during the "Eleventh Five-Year" period. Once implemented, the project will result in the development of ZF□-800kV GIS and ZF□-1100kV GIS, which will be the highest voltage switching devices in China. These products are expected to achieve significant breakthroughs in core technologies such as circuit breakers and operating mechanisms, along with related fundamental research. The initiative will also establish an important production base for ultra-high-voltage switchgear, promoting the localization and industrialization of major technical equipment in China. Given the complexity and scale of the project, which involves multiple industries and requires substantial resources, the company recommends that the government provide policy support and funding. It also suggests that the project be included in the "Eleventh Five-Year" major scientific and technological projects in Henan Province. Currently, the company is accelerating the upgrading of its equipment and facilities, improving testing capabilities, and creating favorable conditions for the industrialization of UHV technology. This effort marks a critical step toward advancing China's high-voltage electrical industry and strengthening its technological independence.
