Toyota Sienna Paint Code Guide

Toyota Sienna Paint Code Guide

At Olathe Toyota Parts Center, we’ve got you covered when it comes to parts or accessories for your Toyota Sienna. But did you know we also carry paint? Whether you’re looking to touch up minor chips and scratches or planning a full repaint, we have the paint you need at wholesale prices.

However, finding the right paint can sometimes be tricky because the names or codes change over time. To make things easier, we’ve put together this guide covering the different generations of the Toyota Sienna minivan and the paint codes associated with each one.

First Generation (1998 - 2003)

The first-generation Toyota Sienna was introduced in 1998 as a replacement for the mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive Previa. Built on a modified version of the Camry platform, the Sienna featured front-wheel drive and came equipped with the 3.0-liter 1MZ-FE V6 engine, producing 194 horsepower.

Marketed as the “Camry of minivans,” the Sienna was manufactured in Georgetown, Kentucky, and was available in three trim levels—CE, LE, and XLE. The LE and XLE models came standard with second-row captain’s chairs and a driver-side sliding door, while the CE had a bench seat in the second row and offered the sliding door as an option. Regardless of trim level, the seats could be easily folded and removed as needed.

Second Generation (2004 - 2010)

The second-generation Toyota Sienna made its debut for the 2004 model year, offering 45% more interior space compared to its predecessor. It was also available with an optional all-wheel-drive system. Trim levels included the CE, LE, XLE, and a new top-tier XLE Limited. All Siennas came equipped with keyless entry and 60/40 split rear seats that could fold flat into the floor.

Production shifted from Kentucky to Indiana, and a new factory tow package became available, providing a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds.

Third Generation (2011 - 2020)

The third-generation Sienna brought several improvements when it launched in 2011. A new SE trim level offered a sportier appearance with revised bodywork and a sport-tuned suspension. For the first time, a four-cylinder model was available in the Sienna lineup, catering to those who didn’t require all-wheel drive or the tow package.

Toyota continued to offer the LE, XLE, and Limited trim levels alongside the SE package, but the CE trim was discontinued. A base-level minivan was available and simply referred to as the “base Sienna.”

Fourth Generation (2021 - Present)

In 2021, Toyota updated the trim levels for the fourth-generation Sienna. The LE, XLE, and Limited trims returned, while the SE trim was replaced by the XSE sport trim. Additionally, the Sienna now features a new top-tier Platinum trim, complete with a heads-up display and a 360-degree camera view.

One of the most significant additions to the Sienna is the availability of a hybrid-electric powertrain, which uses an electric motor to power the rear wheels. Other highlights include four-zone climate control, optional Wi-Fi, and advanced driver assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking.

How to Find Your Paint Code

Your vehicle’s paint code can be found on the identification plate inside the driver’s door. This plate contains a wealth of information about your vehicle, including the manufacturing date, configuration, options, and paint color. Each factory color has a unique code to identify the exact paint formula required to match the original finish.

It’s important to note that some colors may look similar under different lighting conditions. Additionally, your Sienna’s paint color might appear slightly different from the paint code sample. Using the correct paint code ensures a precise match, whether you’re applying touch-up paint to minor imperfections or undertaking a full repaint.
